Speaker 1:

All right, we're back. So, god, you do it, do it. Jesus, here comes the testimony. Hey y'all, welcome to Solid Saturdays, where we take a moment just to have a casual conversation that flows from the heart of God. Listen y'all, I get it. It's Saturday, it's the weekend, and you may be in your bed, you may be running errands or even preparing to spend time with your loved ones, but since you are listening, I want you to sit at the edge of your seat and prepare to be inspired. Are y'all ready? All right, then let's go ahead and dive in.

Speaker 1:

Hey y'all, and welcome to Solid Saturday's Prayer and Inspiration Podcast. I am Tiffany and I'm your host, and it is a pleasure, it is my honor to be here to just have a casual conversation with y'all. Listen y'all, I'm so excited about today's topic. We're gonna dive right in, because this topic may take a little time to get into, but I promise you, if you stay throughout the whole episode, you are going to be blessed from it, and I just wanna thank you all for listening, those who have listened over the years and those that are currently listening. It's not taken for granted that you guys choose to listen to this podcast. Thank you guys so much. But I got to be honest with y'all. I took a little break due to my book release and my book tour. And listen y'all, your girl bought a house. You hear me, your girl bought a house and I still can't believe it. But we're here and God's promises are still true and I just love when his promises come to pass on our lives. The journey to buying this home was absolutely wild, do y'all hear me? It was wild. It was ups and downs, but listen, we are here and we are able to stand in a place where I can tell you that God's word is true and he will always come through. So today we're going to talk a little bit about God coming through for us. God coming through because I think that we're living in a time where it's becoming harder and harder to see, through the chaos, god honoring his word. But the Bible tells us that he's not a man that he should lie, nor the son of man that he will repent, but everything that he said, everything that he promised us, if it came out of his mouth, it's going to come to pass. So you got to choose to renew your vision or to shift your vision so that, even through the chaos and all the spiraling whirlwinds, that you still have that belief that God is going to come through for you. So we're going to talk a little bit about God coming through and just how this all came about.

Speaker 1:

As far as the topic, one of my more common sayings when people make a big move or accomplish something is come through. That's what I say, and anybody that knows me or have had conversation with me, you know there's something that you will probably hear come through, and what this means in other words is that's what I'm talking about. Or maybe you're giving someone a high five or something like that, but one of my words is come through. But how many times have we said that to God? If you think about it, he comes through for us on a daily basis. But do we recognize that on a daily basis? How God comes through for us? Right, but God deserves a come through daily. He deserves that. Or, however you offer your praise to God, he deserves it daily, because daily he comes through for us.

Speaker 1:

I told y'all I bought a house and since we overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony, I'm going to share this testimony with you about how God came through. So for a few years now I've been working on little things in preparation for buying a home, and this came about when I realized how much I spent in rent over the years and at the end of it all, I still had no ownership Y'all I'm talking about. I was spending over 100K over the years and I still didn't own it. My name wasn't on it, so it wasn't an investment. It was me literally paying somebody to live in their place. Now, to stay in my comfort zone of my apartment, I asked my landlord several times because I was renting privately. I asked him several times well, a couple of times if he was willing to sell the condo to me because the neighborhood was familiar and it was home for my son and I, and he said no. And, like I said, I think I asked them twice over a span of two years. And that second time that I asked him, I knew that it was time for me to own.

Speaker 1:

So, over like a year or so, I began raising, or working on raising, my credit score, because I'm going to tell y'all it was suffering, and y'all know a part of my testimony where I tell you that I've been through two divorces and within the first divorce, I experienced two evictions and one car repossession. Actually, that wasn't even the divorce. That was during the marriage that I had two evictions and one car repossession. Since that divorce, I haven't had anything. But while in the marriage. That's what I experienced. But while in the marriage, that's what I experienced. So it hit my credit really, really hard. Now, although those things were years prior to me seeking a home and trying to repair my credit, it still had an effect on my credit, so I had to.

Speaker 1:

In addition to repairing my credit, I also had to break like my spending habits and my spending behaviors, because I lived in the world of competition and this was before social media was even big, like it is now but I lived in competition with people, so if they had it, I felt like I had to have it or something close that reflected it, because I was thinking that what I had defined who I was, and this is something that many people still struggle with. But I want you to break that today, because you will find yourself in debt Because listen, y'all, I know it probably better than most because I bought when it was unnecessary. Some people still do that, but I don't do that. No more. Praise God, the Lord has delivered me from that. But when I bought when it was unnecessary just because the next person had it, wasn't even a place of me being encouraged by what they had in their testimony. It was purely competition. I'm a very competitive person in everything. So I bought when it was unnecessary and that put me in debt. It wasn't wise and it put me in debt. I was still immature, so don't judge me. So there were things and behaviors that I had to break before I began this home ownership journey. Then, when I was ready, I began to declare that I was going to be a homeowner, because that was something to break my thinking from the past to where I wanted to go right. So I'm going to tell y'all something.

Speaker 1:

This was really big for me because, as a single mother, the apartment that I was living in it wasn't the best apartment. It wasn't even something that I was used to. I was used to living in nice places, but it wasn't the nicest place. It was in a nice community, which sold me because I wanted to be in a gated community. I wanted to be in a community that was safe and where that apartment was placed. It presented those things. But it wasn't the nicest apartment. It had a stove and a refrigerator that was probably from the eighties or nineties and the refrigerator made noises, so much so that when I had people over or if I was recording a podcast do y'all hear me? Because I was still in my apartment when I started this podcast, but I had to turn my refrigerator off because the noise would be disturbing to people. But me and my son, we got used to the noise, so we just left it on when nobody was over or I wasn't recording anything or going live on a live stream. So the refrigerator made noises in the bathrooms, were old and rusty.

Speaker 1:

But do you know what I did? In the midst of all that? I honored the place that God blessed me with. Yes, I said God blessed me with. He blessed me with it because at the time that I moved into that apartment, it was a blessing. Why? Because one thing was no one else was taking me because I was still having those evictions and repossessions on my credit report. So no one else was taking me, and not only because of the credit report, but I also had little to no income. So what I was asking for wasn't what landlords wanted to hear. So, before I officially got the apartment, while they were still reviewing my application and all the other things they needed to do, I drove up to that apartment almost daily and I sat in front of it in my car and I prayed because the Lord knew what I needed at that time and I was willing to put in the work that it needed because it needed a lot of work, but I believe that it would be our home for that season. And even as I reflect back, I remember when we were about to leave the showing of the apartment and my son, who was six or seven at the time, he said to me we were in the bathroom of the apartment actually and he said to me he said, mama, this is our home. Listen, y'all, this is touching me. He said, mama, this is our home.

Speaker 1:

I was in such a fragile place back then. Um, I was actually, um, actually in the middle of a separation of my second marriage. We weren't divorced yet, but we were separated. So I was going through disappointment, heartbreak, and it was a total change. And just to reflect back on that moment and what I was feeling, it touched me. It touched me. So, yeah, my son. He said, mama, this is our home.

Speaker 1:

And so when I got the place, I honored the place. When God blessed me with the place, I honored the place because I knew that God gave it to me. So, listen, y'all, I kept it clean and I made it home. I prayed over it and I prayed in it. I fixed it up and it was home and I was grateful. You know, there were some people that came over and they would ask me. They were like Tiffany, why are you here? And I was there because it was a blessing to me and my son. We had our own, we had our own space and it was something that we both were happy with. We had to make some adjustments, but we were happy. We had our own at that time, although we weren't owning it, y'all, but it was our own space and it was needed.

Speaker 1:

So, truth be told, when I began looking for a home in May of last year 2023, I wasn't looking for anything extravagant, because I was okay with fixing it up if I needed to. I just wanted the price to be right and for it to still be in my area of comfort, the neighborhood that I knew, the neighborhood that my son knew. My mind was also still in that place of just having enough rather than receiving more than enough from God. So I saw one home which began my journey, and this realtor that I met in that home. She was so sweet. She asked me all the questions if I was pre-approved for a loan and how much I could put down on the home, et cetera. You know all those things. And I didn't have that information because in my mind, although I wanted a home, I was just looking. I was just looking for a home.

Speaker 1:

But that encounter with her, it sparked something much deeper for me in my journey. So when I went home to my apartment, I just started browsing places, trying to imagine myself in a home, because I wasn't there yet. Y'all, I wasn't there yet. Mentally, but also practically, the odds were against me. But I practiced believing and I prepared myself along the way for this journey.

Speaker 1:

And one day I was scrolling through Facebook and this was probably a few weeks later and a sister friend of mine who is a lender, she made a post to all future homeowners. I still have the post saved, but she made a post to all future homeowners and I came across it and she was offering a down payment assistance program and this was June 13, 2023. I got the receipts, y'all. So that caught my attention and it sparked my faith even more because, truth be told, I was still kind of counting myself out of being able to own a home. And this was based on old conversations that I had with other realtors and lenders. And it turns out that those realtors and lenders, they just weren't my people, they weren't for me. So I talked to my sister friend and turned out that I didn't qualify for the down payment assistance program and I didn't qualify for any other financial assistance program. But she still encouraged me to apply to become pre-approved for a loan. So, shaking in my boots, I applied and, to my surprise, I was pre-approved Like y'all. I could have cried in that moment.

Speaker 1:

I had a golden ticket to getting a home and this was the first time that getting a home. It seemed realistic and possible for me, because it's one thing for things to seem possible for you, because we're Christians, we're believers, so we know that all things are possible for God to do. There's nothing that he cannot do. But the moment that things become realistic listen y'all everything changes, everything changes. So it didn't matter how crazy the market was at that time, I wasn't phased at all.

Speaker 1:

After that, I knew that I was in the right timing. I knew that I was in the vein of God and that I would be getting my home within a year, within 12 months. Now I wanted my home by the end of 2023. And when that didn't pan out, I became discouraged. But you can't put a timeline and your own stipulations on God's perfected will for your life. I'm going to say that one more time because somebody needs to hear it, because a lot of times we try to put our own stipulations, which shapes our own expectations on God's perfected will for our lives. But you got to come to realize that God's perfected will for you, it was carved out before time began. So you cannot put your own timeline and your stipulations on God's perfected will for your life.

Speaker 1:

So with that golden ticket, the search really began and I was so excited. You know you become so excited at the beginning of the search for your home, but you don't realize that you're literally searching for your home. So you're not. If you're serious about it, you're not just gonna take the first home that you come across, because there are certain things. Since you're investing in a home. There are certain things that you want for your home. So it can be a long or prolonged process and you don't realize that at first, but I was excited nonetheless.

Speaker 1:

And through the process, my first realtor. She had a tragedy in her family so she took a break, which kind of led me to crossing paths with my second realtor. I was still searching online for different homes that were within the community that I was living in, and so I found this other home that was in the community and it was an open house. Within that open house, that realtor was there and we connected and she became my second realtor. And through my second realtor, I found another home that was in the area that I was living in at that time and although it wasn't what I really wanted, I had vision for it. I had vision to build upon it. I was still in the mindset that you know I could still fix things up, I could do it, and you know I've done it before, so I can do it again. Listen, I wanted that home because it was in the area. So I put in an offer and the seller's agent of that home they denied my offer immediately. I was crushed y'all, but at the same time I wasn't giving up.

Speaker 1:

So I kept driving by the home because I really believed that that home was mine. I was driving in the neighborhood praying. I was all in y'all. And one of those days, when I drove by the seller, the owner of the home, he was outside because he was still doing like renovations and work on the home. So I passed by, just declaring that that home was my home, and then the Lord said turn around and go back and talk to him. Now I was like, okay, jesus, now I'm new to this whole home buying process. What do you say to the seller, the owner of that home? But it goes back to the authority, the power that we have as sons of God. So I really didn't have anything to fear, but I was intimidated. So anyway, hesitantly, I turned around and I didn't know what I was going to say or what I was going to do. I was just being obedient.

Speaker 1:

So I met the owner of the home outside and I introduced myself and my son and I let him know that were some things that the home wouldn't come with, such as some key appliances, aka the washer and dryer and some other appliances that he said he wasn't leaving in the home. But y'all listen, I was sold on the home and I convinced them of that. So it didn't stop me or it didn't discourage me what the home didn't have, because I wanted the home and I was sure that those appliances would come from somewhere that God would eventually provide. And if he didn't provide, then I knew people nearby and I'm like you know, maybe I can use their washer dryer until I can get my own. You know, I was.

Speaker 1:

I was making up these different situations or scenarios that would make things work until I was able to work on that part of the home. So I told him that I put my offer in and that it was denied, and he looked surprised. He was like well, what did you say? Your name was again, and I told him and he said I never received your offer. And then he began to tell me that he was unhappy with his agent and all these things, and so eventually he instructed me to put my offer in again and that he'll see what he can do.

Speaker 1:

So I went to my agent and she wanted me to move past this property and look at something new. But I told her that I wanted to put in another offer. So we did, and we got denied again, rejected again. So it was apparent that my offers weren't getting to the owner, that his agent was blocking it, like specifically blocking it. And you know what we do as Christians. We're like, you know, that's the devil, and it really was, because, like, why would you block my offer? Like all the offers should be getting to him so that he can make that decision. So, anyway, my realtor, she went back and forth with the seller's agent for a little. Then the property went under contract.

Speaker 1:

Needless to say, I was devastated but y'all listen, I was determined, I didn't stop believing. I eventually talked to my pastor about it and she shared that my story that I was sharing with her. It sounded like another woman that is known on social media. So she shared that my story that I was sharing with her. It sounded like another woman that is known on social media. So she shared this woman's testimony with me and it ignited my faith once again. Y'all, it's important who you have in your corner when you are believing God for something that is big or that will literally shift your life from one position to another. Pay attention to who's in your corner, because it matters. So she shared the testimony and it ignited my faith again and I actually went on Instagram and I screenshotted that testimony of that woman and I reflected back to her testimony, often In the midst of all this, like the home was still under contract, but in the midst of it, one day the Lord woke me up.

Speaker 1:

Of course he woke me up. Upon waking up, the Lord spoke to me. He said I want you to go by U-Haul and get some boxes. And I said okay, lord, I'm going to go back later in the day. He's like no, I want you to go right now. So I got up, got dressed and I went to U-Haul to get my boxes so that I can start packing, because that was one of the things that was also in the woman's testimony that she was packing even before her offer was accepted, because that was her act of faith. When I got my boxes, I met a guy in the line as I was waiting to check out, but this guy was literally sent by God. He was talking to another guy in the line and while he was talking to that guy, I went up and paid for my boxes and I began loading them in the car.

Speaker 1:

On my last trip to my car, I met the same guy that I saw on the line. I met him in the parking lot on his way out and I greeted him because I just like to you know, greet people, it's courteous, you know people don't do that, no more, but I did it. I greeted him and then he said to me he said can I pray with you? And knowing the conversation that he had with the guy in the line, I said you know, I was like sure, because I don't let everybody pray for me. I got to know who you believe in and I got to know that you believe in him. Real, real good, like we got to be on the same team but experiencing that conversation in the line, I already knew like okay, this guy is seasoned and we believe the same thing.

Speaker 1:

So I said sure, while he was praying, he began to prophesy over me about my home y'all and how God positioned me to walk into financial abundance, and he prophesied some other things. I mean, we stayed in that parking lot for at least 30 minutes. It was so powerful and it was what I needed to keep believing God that this was my time In the midst of facing rejection. This is what God sent to me to let me know that this was still my time. So just a side note, y'all, I went live on IG that day just to recap that encounter that I had with that man. So if you want to view it, you can just go on my IG and check it out. The link is inside of this description.

Speaker 1:

So I took that prophecy and I went home and I started packing. In the midst of all that, I kept on driving by the house daily and I kept on declaring and calling it in. And I picked up another stream of income in the midst of all of this that's going on and that was to help me with funding the home. And in the midst of that, the Lord was still having me give to others, serve others, minister to others and listen. Y'all financially give to others, and these were not just small gifts, these were hundreds of dollars of gifts. But even in the midst of that, I followed God. I was obedient.

Speaker 1:

Also, I went to a conference with my pastor and another young lady and the speaker of that conference. He began to testify about his journey of becoming a homeowner. Now, he wasn't even talking about this, but the Lord segued that into his message. God is so good, y'all, he orchestrated all this. So he started talking about his journey of becoming a is so good, y'all, he orchestrated all this. So he started talking about his journey of becoming a homeowner. Randomly, y'all. And in the midst of him testifying, he began to prophesy that God was changing the zip code for some of us in the room, that we would have to let go of what we knew and embrace where God was taking us.

Speaker 1:

Listen y'all, that word hit me so hard in my belly, it hit me in my spirit. So I received that word immediately and so I continued driving by the home every day, in the midst of receiving that word that God was changing my zip code, and I continued packing. And listen y'all, my son and I, we began living out of boxes and we lived out of boxes for months. Months, not weeks, not days. Months. My living room seemed like chaos because it was filled with boxes, packed and unpacked. And eventually that contract that the house was under it fell through and I got to tell y'all, I rejoiced, I rejoiced, I rejoiced and I put in another offer, this time that agent, the seller's agent. He ignored my offer and eventually, my realtor, she stopped believing for that home because the agent was just stubborn he, he was denying every offer that we put in.

Speaker 1:

So in November I had to drop something off to one of my brothers and I told him that I was in the process of buying a home and he said that he had a guy for me that was a realtor and he said, like listen, sis, he's going to get you in a home and it may be the home that you were believing for or maybe something better, but he's going to get you in that home. And he also told me that this realtor was a believer and he was a pastor. So he knew how to fight in both rounds. He knew how to fight here on Earth with other agents and he knew how to fight in the spirit Like it's a double whammy. I loved it.

Speaker 1:

I reached out to the guy and let me tell y'all everything I expected. He did that and more. He fought for that home, he fought for it, he fought for it and he even created a team that was fighting for it with me. And that was the thing that I loved and it increased my trust in the realtor. Because the other realtor I felt like I was fighting alone. But this guy. He led this fight and I just had to be present and fight in the spirit. So I love that.

Speaker 1:

And let me just tell y'all, if y'all looking for a home, find a realtor that you can trust and a realtor that is on the same page as you, because it would take so much of the stress of home buying, searching for a home. It would take that off of you and listen, you need that weight off of you when you go through this process. So he fought for it and January came and he was still fighting for it. We still believe in God for it. It went under contract but we were still believing and fighting for it. But I began to declare in January of this year that I would buy and move into my home this year. Then, a few weeks later, the home that I was believing God for it sold. After declaring that the home sold. And actually the Lord prepared me for that moment because I was still driving by the home every day, praying and believing. And this particular morning, when I drove by or was about to drive by, the Lord said you're going to see a pod in the driveway of that home. Then he said the home sold. And, sure enough. When I turned on that street where the home was, there was a pod in the driveway and then I checked online and I saw that the home sold.

Speaker 1:

I think I lost hope at that moment because I was having issues on my job with leadership and God was telling me to make a big move. That didn't make sense at the time. Everything that was happening, it just seemed to be crumbling for me at that time. But in the midst of that, I would go on Facebook and I would see random posts that showed keys to a home and had the caption that said declare it, you are getting a home this year. These were posts from people that I wasn't following. They weren't following me, they were not friends of friends, they were not my friends, but these were posts that would appear on my timeline that said declare it, you are getting a home this year. And I would see a couple of these posts daily. And y'all this is not by coincidence and you can say that it was the algorithm, it was AI, whatever. Say what you want, but I believe that these were little reminders from God that would remind me of my declaration that I made at the beginning of the year that I was going to get my home this year.

Speaker 1:

Just because my situation changed doesn't mean that God's promise for me changed. And let me just speak that to y'all that are believing God for something big. Just because your situation changed, your situation may be in chaos. It doesn't mean that what God has said about you or what he has promised you, it doesn't mean that that changed at all. God's word is true. Man doesn't have the power to stop what God had ordained.

Speaker 1:

But I got to be honest with y'all. I was tired. I was tired of rejection and I was tired from travailing for this home and God would literally tell me to do things like praise me now for what you are believing me for, and that would keep me in a mindset and posture for how God was planning to come through, for his daughter to come through for me. I had to be obedient y'all. So in the midst of being drained and in the midst of being tired spiritually and burnt out from my job, I obeyed God. You cannot let your emotions and the effects of the outside world you cannot let that determine or change the trajectory of how you respond to God's instruction. You still got to obey. We still have the responsibility to obey. Obedience is required for God to come through for you. Do y'all hear me?

Speaker 1:

On top of that, in my moment of weakness, I pulled on people who would strengthen me because I was done. I was done. I didn't have anything left in me. And let me just encourage y'all right here, because a lot of times when we get to the point where we're done, we don't have anything left in us. Sometimes we just give up, we submit or succumb to what we're feeling. But in those moments when you are believing God for something big, it is not a sign or whatever you want to call it for you to give up. Instead, it's a sign for you to do what the Bible tells us to do. It says let the strong bear the infirmities of the weak. And it also says iron sharpens iron.

Speaker 1:

So in those moments of weaknesses, in those moments when you are fragile, choose to reach out to people, choose to reach out to your community. Like I said, who's in your corner matters. You can't reach out to somebody that's negative or somebody that hasn't been where you're trying to go. You need somebody that has experience with God in the place that you're trying to go. Now let me tell y'all the experience with God may not look like what you are going through, it may not be identical, but they just need to have experience to say like, okay, god did it for me and it doesn't look exactly the way that is happening for you, but because he did it for me, I know that he can do it for you too. And that is the reason for this podcast episode is that I know that God can do it for you too. So y'all keep on listening. So anyway, I was tired, I was fragile, I was done.

Speaker 1:

But on Valentine's day of this year, I text my realtor with the zip codes of my preference, which was my comfort zone and my realtor, he texts me back and said hi, this is the exact text message. He said hi, got it. He said I'm not sure if you're open to Wellington or not, but there is one hitting the market this week. Now, listen y'all. I was about to text back real quick and decline immediately. Then Holy Spirit stopped me and he reminded me of the word that I received months prior that my zip code would change. Do you see how God orchestrated all this? Do you see how God orchestrated all this? So hesitantly I text him back and I said, it's a little far, but I'm open to the possibility. That's all God needed. All God needed was for me to be open to the possibility. Can I tell y'all, be open to the possibility. It's gonna take you out of your comfort zone, but be open to the possibility, because that possibility may be the exact place that God wants to perform a miracle in your life. So the next day he sent me a picture of the home and I can't even front y'all. It was beautiful. It was beautiful. I fell in love with it.

Speaker 1:

The location wasn't what I had in mind, but I loved the house and as far as the location goes, it wasn't that it was a bad location. It was far from a bad location. It's actually a very good location. It's safe and it's a place where some people long to live. It's a good location. But it wasn't what I had in mind because it was just far from everything that I've known and grown accustomed to.

Speaker 1:

But in the face of all that, we set up a time to view the home during the open house. So me and my son, we get there and it is absolutely beautiful. Like the picture was beautiful, but everything was beautiful and you could tell that the owners took pride in their home and that God paid attention to every detail that I wanted right, because this home is also right by the lake and I wanted, like my desire was, to be by the water. It had all that I wanted and more every little detail, including the roads that lead up to the home, driving up to this home, and it was a corner unit. I mean, it was just. It just seemed so perfect.

Speaker 1:

And so, at the open house, I met the owner's agent and she talked to my son and I the whole time we were there. There were other people who were there, but she talked to my son and I the whole time and when we were about to leave, she stopped what she was doing to shake my hand and she told me. She looked me in the eye and she told me. She said hopefully, in 30 days I'll be handing you these keys Once again. Y'all that ignited my faith. As we were leaving, my realtor said he said what do you want to do? And I told him I said let's just put in an offer Because, although I love the house, I fell in love with the house. I love the area where it was at.

Speaker 1:

I was okay if I was rejected because rejection would have kept me in my place of comfort. That's a word. Some of y'all are okay with being rejected because rejection keeps you in your place of comfort, but now it's time for you to come out of your comfort, and I feel that so strongly because there's so many people that are just comfortable with where they're at. But God is saying now is the time for you to come out of your comfort. Stop being rejected, stop looking for rejection so you can stay where you're at. He has more for you.

Speaker 1:

So as we got in the car, my son said mama, this is our home. I didn't realize it then, and I didn't even realize it until this moment that both times where we were in moments of transition, my son spoke that this was our home and, as a matter of fact, the other home that I was believing God for, he never spoke that. My son actually told me he's like mama, I don't like the home, I just don't like it. You know that other home that I was believing God for. But when we stepped inside this home, he said this is our home. And I don't even think it had anything to do with, like, how put together it was Because, remember, with that apartment where everything seemed like a mess and it was. He said that that was our home at that time too. So my son is a prophet, just so that y'all know. But he said that.

Speaker 1:

So the next day my realtor submitted the offer. Then, another thing, let me back up. If your children have, if they have, a call on their life, nurture that call, because God does everything well and you never know how their call is orchestrated to keep you on the right track of believing God. If God could use a donkey, if he can use all these other things in the Bible, why couldn't he use a child like he did in the Bible? He used children in the Bible. Why couldn't he use a child to push you closer and closer to your promised place in God? Just think about that. Nurture the gift on your children.

Speaker 1:

So the next day my realtor submitted the offer and within 24 hours my realtor submitted the offer. And within 24 hours I got a call from him and I remember I was laying in my bed, I was about to go to sleep, because I go to sleep early y'all, not so much nowadays, but back then. So I was in the bed and he made some little talk. He made a little small talk and then he said well, it looks like we're buying a home. And y'all, I was quiet because I was slightly distracted, so it didn't register until several seconds later. Then I sat up straight in the bed and I was like wait what? And he laughed and said they accepted your offer, we're buying a home. And I said you are kidding me, because I didn't expect it. If I couldn't get this little home right down the street from me, how could I get a home that is in one of the richest places in the county and it exceeded my expectation. How could this home be mine? I was like oh my goodness. And we rejoiced while we were on the phone. And then he said I'm going to allow you to just embrace it and then we'll talk tomorrow. So we hung up and I ended up telling my son and my son exclaimed let's go. That was his thing. He's like let's go. And I couldn't believe it, y'all. And from that day, everything moved so quickly.

Speaker 1:

A few days later, doubt crept in because of the situation with my job. I felt like I had to cancel the contract. So I was talking to God about it and he told me to call my pastor and y'all I was sitting. I can remember the places I was in these conversations. I was sitting, I parked in the public's parking lot that wasn't far from my apartment and I was talking to my pastor and I told her everything and she listened and then I said I think I have to cancel the contract. And I'm like I battle with this in my mind because I'm like God, why would you bring me this far? Why would you bring me here just so that I can cancel it? Why would you have all this excitement Like why would everything work out right now and I have to cancel it? It just didn't seem right.

Speaker 1:

And I heard the strength in her voice and she said the devil is a liar. And she began to awaken me by telling me that, among other things, she told me, but she told me that God would take care of me and she reminded me that I had history with God. Like it wasn't even her telling me of her testimony of buying a home, because I knew of her testimony, but she reminded me of my own experience with God and how I had history with him and that hit a little different y'all. And so she reminded me of that and how he carried me or took care of me while I was living in the apartment, the place that I was in now, like he carried me or took care of me while I was living in the apartment, the place that I was in now. He carried me through all of that. She was like so why wouldn't God take care of you in this new place? And then she also gave me a game plan, which I love because she also gives the spiritual with the practical. So I followed it and I continued to pray and I continued to pack.

Speaker 1:

All through this process and through the journey of closing the closing costs, it increased by 5K and then it increased by 10K. It was crazy, y'all. So I then text my realtor and I was straight up with him I'm like I don't know how this is going to work because I don't have that much money for closing costs. I don't have anything close to it. And he bounced back, clapped back, whatever you want to say, and he said let's take a look at our options first and then let's travel that path. And then he said it's going to work. It matters who's in your corner, y'all Okay.

Speaker 1:

So I began selling some things in my home and I booked some book signings for my new book and, on top of that, I prayed. And so the owners ended up giving me a $12,000 credit towards my closing costs and I received a $5,000 gift on top of that. I got to the closing day and we visited the home it was the realtor, myself and my son and we visited the home for the final walkthroughtor myself and my son and we visited the home for the final walkthrough and my realtor and I sat at the table that was also gifted to me by the owners of this home, and we sat at the table and we prayed, we prayed, and when we prayed, we left the home and we entered the title office to close. And y'all listen, not only was that appointment for closing it was less than 45 minutes, less than 45 minutes but I also ended up having more than enough for the closing costs. Listen, y'all, god provided more than enough and I closed in less than 30 days. Okay, in less than 30 days, I closed on my home.

Speaker 1:

God came through y'all, and not only that, he also came through on my job. God is amazing. Everything changed in that moment. My life. 30 days prior, my life was in chaos. It was in so much chaos I was so stressed that I had headaches. I was literally feeling sick every day because of the chaos that I was in. And 30 days later I didn't know, but God was going to shift my life, where I would walk into my promised place and also have peace on my job. God is so good and y'all, like I said, I'm sharing this because if he came through for me, he will come through for you too.

Speaker 1:

Do what it takes to keep believing what God spoke to you and over you and make the changes needed and surround yourself with people who will be able to be strength when you need that strength, when you are weak. Don't wallow in your weakness. Get somebody to pull you up out of that and, as you surround yourself with those people, also embrace the discomfort, embrace where God is taking you, and obey God always, no matter how crazy it may seem, and I'm going to tell y'all this God is true and he will come through for you. Let's pray, father. We thank you, we honor you, god, for the many blessings that you have given us, god. We thank you, god, for the pivotal places that you have even placed your people in this time, in this season. We thank you for all that you have placed in our hands and you've entrusted us with God, and we thank you, god, for even where you are taking us, god, individually and as a body of Christ, right now, in the name of Jesus, I pray for strength for those that are listening to this podcast episode and I pray God right now, the blood of Jesus over them, god.

Speaker 1:

I pray that you remove every distraction from them, god, that would trip them up during this process or the journey that you have them on. Father. I pray that they would be reminded of your goodness, father, that they would be reminded of your promises, that they would be reminded of the experiences that they have had with you, god, and that they will be reminded that you will never fail them, god, but you will always come through. So, father, in the name of Jesus, I pray, god, that they will be strengthened right now in Jesus' name. Strengthen them, father, and I pray that you will bring peace to their situation right now. In the name of Jesus, father, you are a faithful God, so we put all our trust in you, and I decree and declare over the lives of everyone who is listening right now that they shall see your goodness in the land of the living. I pray that you would illuminate every lie of the enemy right now, in the name of Jesus, and that they would adopt your truth, father, in Jesus' name, and that your truth would light the way, father, that they would trust you with every step, that they would trust you with every decision, that they would seek first your kingdom and all its righteousness, and that everything else will be added unto us. Father, thank you for the addition, the multiplication that is being added right now in our lives and in your kingdom. Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank you for this moment and we thank you for the strength that is coming upon them even now, and this is sealed in Jesus name. We pray Amen.

Speaker 1:

Listen, y'all, keep believing. God is going to come through for you. God is going to come through and when he does, make sure that you give him the glory, say God, come through, I give you the glory. Thank you, lord. And even in the midst of the process, in the midst of the process, in the midst of the process, remember, I was praising through the process, I was making declarations through the process and, believe it or not y'all. This is the condensed version of the process. This was over several months and there were things literally every day that God was telling me to do. Don't ignore the voice of God, because it's the little things that is going to bring you through and you're able to see the hand of God over your life. Y'all, be encouraged. You're about to cross over onto something new. You're about to cross that threshold. Keep believing God to come through. Listen y'all. I hope you were blessed.
